Star NZ filly Millwood Nike extended her unbeaten streak to seven with her 1:54.7 victory in the GROUP 1 Sires Stakes 2YO Fillies Final at Addington.
Captain’s highest earning Australasian progeny, Tough Tilly, lived up to her name with a magnificent run in the GROUP 3 Breeders Crown Graduate Mares FFA, clocking 1:53.8 at Tabcorp Park Melton and taking her earnings well over half-a-million.
There were Breeders Crown semi final wins at Melton for both 2YO colt The Lost Storm (1:53.9) with his form line now at 5-4-1, and star 3YO filly, Encipher (1:54.5), her tenth lifetime victory.
CAPTAIN had new 2YO winners at Hobart – De Goey claimed the Dandy Patch Prelude on debut while filly Reely Nauti took a heat of the Evicus Series.
Colt Dontstopmenow made it two wins from three starts with a salute at Cambridge, and Captain Dorian clocked 1:55.2 at Newcastle.
In North America, CAPTAINTREACHEROUS daughter Bellisima Hanover took the $238,000 Kindergarten 2YO Fillies Series at The Meadowlands, while STAY HUNGRY filly took her $40,000 Home Grown Series Final.
Of our past sires, HESTON BLUE CHIP had a good run of four winners (Merge Right, Looby Lombo, Mustang Milly & My Ultimate Heston), while there were winners for WELL SAID (We Salute You), ARTSPEAK (Sheffield Park) and FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Ashark).
There were doubles each for BETTING LINE (Mollys Line & Payout) and WESTERN TERROR (Blitzern & Kolisi) while SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE racked five in Beach Ball, Oceanique, Teddy Baker, Remember Me Now and Euroking.
