While Juggernaut made for a new 3YO winner for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS at Gloucester Park this week, it was his seasoned campaigners who secured all other wins. Mares Come On Sloopy (Globe Derby) and Highly Respected (Penrith) and geldings Captain Braveheart (Young) and Captains Pick (1:55.4, Redcliffe) all made their mark.
In North America, the Kentucky Sire Stakes 4YO Finals were cleaned up by CAPTAIN stock – Boudoir Hanover took the mares’ championship in 1:50.2 and I Did It Myway the entires and geldings in 1:49.1.
Of our past sires, BETTING LINE had a cracking week with wins for Island Bouhinia, Get Up Betty, Angels Delight & Geiranger Rainbows, as did HESTON BLUE CHIP with Man Mountain, Sir Richard Lee, Ashleys Blue Chip & Whodat Boodat. Wins for JET LAAG (Fiftyshades Cresco), WESTERN TERROR (Trouble Looming), ARTSPEAK (Tackas Princess) and ARTISTIC FELLA (Pikarso), and a treble for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK – Five Star Gem, Dun Me Up Francy & Hanover Starzzz. SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE took his usual haul with wins for Diamondsontehbeach, Cala Greca, Some Chevron, Forever Moments, Helansin, and exciting filly Somethin Bout Eily.
