First though – a Redcliffe treble with Captains Pick hitting the $120K mark, Highly Respected in win #9 and Gidup Captain saluting again in Queensland, and three-year-old winners elsewhere… Dontstopmenow at Alexandra Park, Captain Tom by 10m at Young and two in a row for My Ultimate Carter, pushing past $40,000 at Bathurst.
At Pocono Downs, the John Simpson Memorial 2YO series divisions are being run, with one Razzle Hanover leg taken out by STAY HUNGRY daughter Lyons Legend in 1:52.1, another by CAPTAIN filly Donegal Spirit (1:53.1) and a Bret Hanover leg by his son Captain Skippy in 1:52.3.
At home, WESTERN TERROR (Western Showgirl, Touch Of Terror, Bruised Ego & Tulhurst Terror) took honours, followed by FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Beef City Starzzz, Jilliby Flash & Blazing Shannon) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Oceanique, Ourbeachbabe & Infinity Beach). There were doubles for BETTING LINE (Ceeubetty & Our George Boston), WELL SAID (Alakazam & See Me No More) and JET LAAG (Destiny Blues & Fiftyshades Cresco), while ROCKNROLL HANOVER was represented by Oyster Stride.
