Lux Aeterna maintained her unbeaten run with a 1:49.9 victory in the GROUP 1 NSW Breeders Challenge 2YO Fillies Final at Menangle, taking her earnings well past $300,000 and putting her in the sire’s top ten earners (six of them are fillies – keep an eye on the 2024 sales!). In the GROUP 1 3YO Colts & Geldings Final, in the same sizzling time of 1:49.9, it was Captains Knock, bumping his bank up to $284,000 and in the 4YO Mares Final, it was Captains Queen taking honours in 1:51.6. Three year olds Mon Lancome (Kaikoura) and Frankie Ferocious (1:54.8 for back to back wins at Albion Park) were in the money, as was unique CAPTAIN trotter, Perfidious Sue in TR1:58.9 at Maryborough! At Harrah’s Hoosier Park, three-year-old Ervin Hanover claimed the $60,000 The Pegasus in 1:49.0.
Our past sires had a great few days too – BETTING LINE with a double of Dourado and another unique trotter Not As Promised taking the Victorian Trotting Derby, and among SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE‘s winners, Wheres The Gold with the SA Pacing Cup, Firestorm Red, Head Noise, Neds Beach & Beach Villa. There were also winners for WESTERN TERROR (Jessejames Shannon), ARTSPEAK (Peaksart) and ARTISTIC FELLA (Artisticbutnaughty).
