CAPTAINTREACHEROUS represented by three juveniles this weekend – Star Lavra crowned the WA Derby Consolation winner, one of a Gloucester Park double with filly Castella Dellacqua who posted her fourth win to top $63,000 in earnings, while at Addington, two-year-old Chase A Dream made it three wins from five starts.
In North America, he continued to dominate with a trifecta in the $145,000 Matron Stakes – Maxim Hanover in 1:52 ahead of Booming Economy and Magnifico Hanover at Dover Downs while at Meadowlands, Caviart Belle claimed the $205,000 Kindergarten 2YO Fillies Stakes in 1:49.4 from STAY HUNGRY duo, Miraculous Deo and Sarasota Hanover. STAY HUNGRY wasn’t left out though with Hungry For Love claiming the 2023 Kentucky Sire Stakes 3YO Fillies Final in 1:52.1 at Cumberland Run.
Of our past sires, SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE shared the lead of four winners – Telemachus in the St Arnaud Cup, Kiavino Stride, Beach Ball and Jaxons Beach – with BETTING LINE (Butter Cup, Line Dance, Betting Sensation & Rising Spirit). FOUR STARZZZ SHARK took a double with Party Hat and Headwin, while ROCKNROLL HANOVER was represented by Lils Nightmare.
