A magic dozen for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS this weekend, securing 12 winners headlined by a sire quinella in the Breeders Crown Championship at Melton, millionaire CATCH A WAVE in ahead of Captain Ravishing in 1:54.0.
Two-year-old Dreams Are Free made it three wins from four starts wtih his salute at Winton, in a double with 3YO filly Takeitout who lead in a CAPTAIN trifecta ahead of Micaitlen Denario & Perfect Potion. She was one of eight three-year-old winners, cementing CAPTAIN‘s place as a dominant juvenile sire – Madrigal in 1:55.7 at Albion Park, Bravo Stride (two on the bounce, 1:55.4) and Go Away Again (1:55) at Newcastle, Perfect Class in a semi final of the Breeders Crown 3YO C&G series at Melton, Captain Tom in the Griffith Cup, De Goey in a heat of the Globe Derby and Reely Nauti in a heat of the Bandbox, both at Launceston. Captain Oh Captain topped $36,000 with his Redcliffe win, while Captain Shuffles reached $178,000 with a 1:51.3 at Albion Park.
Of our past sire roster, WESTERN TERROR led the way with four winners – Skippers Swan Song, Here Comes Bobby, Full of Wisdom & Lady Antheia – while there were trebles for BETTING LINE (Mac Oreilly, Waterline & Aventine Hill) and WELL SAID (Pete Said Said, Young Rooster & Sweetly Spoken), and winners for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Kissmelvis) and ARTISTIC FELLA (Sweet Creation).
