His more mature horses are really hitting the big numbers while the babies are coming along very nicely… Ruby Roe (bred by F & K Price) lead a CAPTAIN quinella at Oamaru in a heat of the 3YO Fillies Series ahead of All You Need Is Love while Albion Park was a happy hunting ground with a treble of Master Charles (J & L Wallace) with a second consecutive win in 1:54.4, Captains Pick (Solid Earth Pty Ltd) in 1:54.1 to hit $160,000 in earnings, and mare Highly Respected (Alex Smith & Russell Woods) now just short of $90,000 with her win.
At Menangle, Mick Danger (Michael McGeechan) took a heat of the Carousel by a whopping 14m margin while elsewhere in NSW, A Lil Bit of Love (Peter Crennan) collected her second lifetime win and at Wagga, the clock stopped at 1:55.7 for mare Captain Of Speed (Mal Moody) to bring up nearly $70,000 in earnings. Over west fellow CAPTAIN mare Castella Dellacqua (Durham Park Standardbreds) claimed win #6 for over $86,000 in winnings and at Geelong, Captain Ravishing (Sloys Company) continued his dominance with a 1:52.5 win for $526,000 in the bank!
At Woodbine Mohawk Park in Canada, two-year-old CAPTAIN filly Cant See Me claimed her elimination of the Shes A Great Lady (1:51.3) while his colts were dominant in the Metro Pace eliminations, one each for Fallout (1:49.3) and Captain Optimistic (1:50.2).
Of hte past sires list there was a good spread this week – BETTING LINE with his usual haul of four (Lulu Lucifer, Line Dance, Keayang Domino & Magamedov), trebles for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Starzzz Destiny, Riviera Rose & Torque Like Motion) and WESTERN TERROR (Shireen, Sassyola & Raging Sea). WELL SAID was represented by Triedtotellya, ROCKNROLL HANOVER by Rock The Nation, and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE by Eldaytona.
