STAY HUNGRY has an exciting three-year-old to watch after Go Without (bred by Rhiannon Park) secured back-to-back wins by clocking 1:54.5 at Geelong this week! CAPTAINTREACHEROUS wasn’t without a juvenile winner either with filly Keayang Payton (Durham Park Standardbreds) saluting on debut later on the card.
CAPTAIN secured a further five winners across the weekend headlined by Barbarossa (S Taylor, W Wilson & L Standing) in the 2025 Stratford Cup at Hawera and followed by a slew of five-year-olds – Reely Nauti (C & C Beadman) topping a bank of $90,000 at Hobart, Carbineer (T Croatto, A Moodie & S Coe) bringing up a third win at Goulburn, Go Away Again (P Hayes, M James & D Maffey) hitting $57,000 at Globe Derby, and at Menangle, Captain Blood (Bruce & Craig Cameron) clocked 1:53.6 for $71,000 in total stakes earnings.
Of our past roster BETTING LINE played yet another blinder with seven weekend winners – The Elite Athlete, Luvbite, Norbet, En Pariant Sur, Golden Line, Rebline and Not As Promised – while there were doubles for WESTERN TERROR (Sassyola & Western Action) and WELL SAID (Done Well & Uncle Tony). Also represented were SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Twilight Beach) and BLISSFULL HALL (Nova Baxter).
