Some nice minor features on offer around the country this week, and our boys were well represented. WELL SAID 3YO, Royal Speech, claimed the Mt Gambier Derby, while of CAPTAINTREACHEROUS’ three winners, Alby Two Chains took the Tasmanian Derby, and for SOMBEACHSOMEWHERE, Lyrical Genius claimed the Young Derby.
CAPTAIN also saw 2YO filly Obsession salute at Alexandra Park and at Tabcorp Park Menangle, 3YO Treacherous Rock went back to back, clocking 1:53.4.
Winners also for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Ashark in 1:55 at Albion Park), ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Shannonstheman in 1:52.1, also at Albion Park) and the second of SOMEBEACH’s double, mare Orama at Broken Hill.
Of our past sires, ARTISTIC FELLA continues to produce winners, with Creative Lad, Lord Court, Artiflash & Andrew Swagger all in the money, also WESTERN TERROR with Nor Westa and Tulhurst Terror.
