Happy new year everybody! Our boys had a stellar week to wind up 2020 with good numbers of winners and classic results:
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS had just the one winner – but what a winner she was! Tough Tilly has been a super consistent filly all season but NYE was her night and she took the GROUP 1 Vicbred Super Sires 2YO Pacing Fillies Final in fine style, clocking 1:54.9 and getting great exposure for the very worthy EB Research Partnership in the process.
The usual big haul for SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE this week, with nine on his list including that superstar filly Maajida, who took the GROUP 1 Vicbred Super Sires 3YO Pacing Fillies Final and pushed her earnings past $457,000! Other winners for Beach were 2YO Lyrical Genius again at Parkes, Somebeachparty in 1:55.1 at Gloucester Park, 2YO filly Clifton Babe in 1:56 at Goulburn, Tairlaw Toll at Winton, Rough And Ready at Waikato, Valencia by a whopping 20m at Mildura, 3YO Lucky Beach Boy at Penrith, and at Albion Park in 1:53.4, that old marvel Colonel Joy.
One of our past favourites WESTERN TERROR had multiple winners – as always – including one that has to be showcased for his typical Western Terror toughness in Kimble, the tough-as-nails, giant killer who won the GROUP 1 Vicbred Super Sires 2YO Pacing Colts & Geldings Final in 1:55.2 – just eight days after he broke his maiden at Horsham, which was less than 24 hours after his 4th placing in the Vicbred Semi Final! Terror’s other three winners were Blues Terror, Gordon Girl and Selaphobia.
Four winners for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK this week – Non Passare at Redcliffe, Beef City Starzzz at Kilcoy, and 3YO pair Whatabro (win #12) and Promise Me Heaven both at Mildura.
Trebles each for WELL SAID (Jonique at Bankstown, Sedso at Penrith & Well Well at Shepparton) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Pocket Rocknroll at Reefton, Jilliby Dyson in a heat of the VHRC Caduceus Provincial series at Ararat & Fire House Rock at Mildura).
