Well it was CAPTAINTREACHEROUS‘ week as his progeny’s earnings in Australia hit $17m – an incredible average of $72,000 each, a figure to keep in mind on Sunday at the Nutrien Equine – Standardbred yearling sales in Melbourne! It was in a heat of the rich Nutrien Classic series for 2YO fillies at Ballarat that CAPTAIN recorded one of his two new winners this week – Miss Australiana saluted on debut and excitingly, she has a half-brother by STAY HUNGRY in the sales (Lot 198), and at Albion Park, another two-year-old filly on debut, Cool And Classy, took the chocs.
Captains Pick brought his bank to $140,000 with a win at Redcliffe, Keayang Tokyo made it two from four starts with his Berry Series heat win at Ballarat and Captain Bligh bobbed up yet again in Bunbury.
Of our past sires list, BETTING LINE (Itzmineontheline, My Ultimate Levi & Foveaux Gambler) again led with WESTERN TERROR (Rocktagnoal, Raging Sea & Blue Cannon), with wins also for ARTSPEAK (Killara Juggernaut), ARTISTIC FELLA (Roslyn Gaye), JET LAAG (Fiftyshades Cresco), WELL SAID (Amys Baby Angel), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Team of Starzzz) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Tide And Time).
