A couple of nice three year old winners over in the west for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS this week with August Moon taking out the Daintys Daughter Country Classic at Pinjarra and Spiritofanangel taking another win at Bunbury. At Kilmore, it was Treacheroustimes pushing his earnings past $60,000. Over the ocean at Pocono Downs, he had two year old daughters take divisions of the Pennsylvania Sire Stake – Carviart Belle – and the Stallion Series – Shebebakin Hanover.
Also with a divisional double at Pocono was of course STAY HUNGRY – Lyons Legend in a $42,000 PASS div in 1:52.4 and Stayinforthedance in 1:54.1 for a Stallion Series leg.
For our past sires, WESTERN TERROR dominated, with something of a ‘theme’ in the naming of his winners – Western Bill, Western Ricki, Western Showgirl, Western Action, and Onecrowdedhour. FOUR STARZZZ SHARK was far behind with four (Gov Starzzz, Pom Pay, Jilliby Flash & Our Ultimate Ruby), while BETTING LINE (Whos The Dad, Villa Bettyboo & Our True Colours) and WELL SAID (Peter Fosberg, Nicely Spoken and Major Statement) had trebles. ROCKNROLL HANOVER had a double (Grey Cadillac & Roll One Over) while there were winners each for ARTSPEAK (Tackas Princess) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Mos London).
