A week never goes by without CAPTAINTREACHEROUS in the spotlight and locally he had five strong winners. In the NSW Breeders Challenge heats at Menangle he was represented by Captains Knock clocking 1:51.9 in the 3YO C&G, and taking her unbeaten streak to seven, Lux Aeterna in 1:54 by 7m. An Addington 2YO double also included a futurities win with Renegade taking his heat of the Sires Stakes Series while filly Melody Banner was also in the money. Captain Braveheart took another win, this time at Cobram.
In North America, he’s been running hot as usual with winners in the $100,000 Kentucky Commonwealth 2YO Fillies Series Final (Flawless), the $50,000 Kentucky Gold Rod Finals (2YO colt Arson, 1:51.1 and 3YO filly Keep My Secret, 1:49.4), and the $50,000 Little Brown Jug elimination (Ken Hanover, 1:48.4, ahead of STAY HUNGRY‘s Seven Colors who was also runner up in the Final).

BETTING LINE had Butter Cup going back to back while at the Little Brown Jug carnival, 2YO Silken Sweet won the $40,000 The Standardbred.
