Another massive week for STAY HUNGRY with an eleventh two-year-old winner at Menangle in colt Fasting (bred by V & B Hancock and M Allamby) who clocked 1:53.9 in his racetrack debut and in North America a slew of results on the east coast. At Pocono Downs, STAY HUNGRY three-year-olds took $50,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes Consolations – Armada Hanover (1:49.3) in the colts and geldings division, and Sarasota Hanover (1:50.4) in the fillies. At The Red Mile, Hers Hungry clocked a super impressive 1:49 to take her Kentucky Sires Stakes race. It’s no surprise his progeny over there average earnings of $57,000+ per starter!
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS also had a winner at The Red Mile in Gifted One who took a fillies division of the Kentucky Golden Rod series in 1:51.1 and at home, Our Chiquitita (bred by Durham Park Standardbreds) took a 1:53.8 victory at Menangle, her second from just five starts.
Of our past roster it was again BETTING LINE leading the way. After Bet The House secured the GR2 $100,000 3YO C&G Westbred Classic at Gloucester Park on the weekend, he took another four winners during the week – Ultimate Cruza, Eclipse Line, Gunforhire & Betting Sensation). SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE also claimed four in Cala Greca, Full Brother, Majors Creek & Shallow Beach while there were winners for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rocking With Charm) and BLISSFULL HALL (Asmileandawinx) and a double for WESTERN TERROR (Terrordan & Jessejames Shannon).
