It was quite the week for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS daughters with four of this hitting the winner’s list across Australasia! A new two-year-old winner in New Zealand was filly Hot And Dangerous (bred by Breckon Farms) who scored at Addington, while at Ballarat it was his unique trotting girl, Perfidious Sue (Erin Murphy) who got the job done, taking an 11m win in TR1:57.1 to take her earnings past $50,000. At Hamilton, Treacherous Reign (G & D Lawlor) secured her fifth lifetime win and up in Canberra, the Mal Moody-bred Captain Of Speed reached $75,000 in the bank.
Over in Kentucky, TALL DARK STRANGER babies are really hitting their straps! The break out sire has had three representatives claim $40,000 two-year-old legs of the Kentucky Sires Stakes at Cumberland Run – colt Blue Onyx in 1:53.4 (ahead of fellow STRANGER colt Delray Beach and CAPTAIN‘s Shipmaster), and fillies Karma (1:53.4) and Aceed (1:53.3). CAPTAINTREACHEROUS has had two super speedy winners in the three-year-old series in Captytreach (Fillies, 1:50.4) and Arson (Colts, 1:51.4).
Of our past sires, BETTING LINE yet again led the list – Ozzie Punta, Jilliby Mistress, Deebo & Straight Flush all took wins, while WESTERN TERROR had a double with Here Comes Bobby and Yesnotmaybeso. Also represented were WELL SAID (Double Said), BLISSFULL HALL (Jacks Up) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (The Rainbow Beach).
