Some good results for our boys this week at home and abroad – STAY HUNGRY mare Zanetta hit the $650,000 mark with her 1:50.4 leg of the Kentucky Sire Stake series at Oak Grove while a leg of the male series was taken by CAPTAINTREACHEROUS stallion, El Rey in 1:51.1. The kiwi bred CAPTAIN son Venturesome Arden collected the $100,000 Borgata Consolation in 1:52.1 at Yonkers while at Menangle, fellow NZ export Amore Infida blitzed the field at Menangle to win her first start in Australia by 17m in 1:52.2! CAPTAINTREACHEROUS also secured a new winner when Captain Boak saluted by 6m at Geelong and at Wagga, rising star Carbineer made it two wins from three starts.
This week CAPTAINTREACHEROUS son Petracca was also awarded the 2023 season Australian 3YO Pacing Colt of the Year – congratulations to connections including breeders Craig & Bruce Cameron while dominant filly Lux Aeterna (bred by Brooklyn Lodge & the La Spina family) took out the Australian 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year.
Of our past roster BETTING LINE had another blinder, recording seven winners – Glenline, My Line Of Fire, Snip Of Beauty, Isthisjustfantasy, Blazin Chimes, Rock Steady & The Tri Line – while there were winners for WELL SAID (Take Out), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Leave Me Out) and BLISSFULL HALL (Yoursnmine). WESTERN TERROR went one better with a double, Shireen and Favouritehighlight.
