At Canberra, Carbineer made it three wins from his last five starts while at Penrith Ourtreacherous Reign posted ticked ever closer to $40,000 in earnings. Captains Catch brought up $65,000 at Shepparton while Treacheroustimes hit $75,000 with his win at Bendigo. CAPTAINTREACHEROUS remains at the top of the 2YO sires table in Australia on both earnings and averages, and with $18.4m in the bank, his progeny here average an incredible $76,377!
In the USA, star juvenile Captain Albano was back, clocking 1:49.4 to take his $50,000 division of the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes 3YO C&G Series at Harrah’s, while Captain Skippy took the other in 1:50.2.
BETTING LINE was well represented yet again with five winners – Snip Of Beauty, Quickshift Girl, Sonic Seelster, Get Ya Bets On and Wings On The Line – while FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Line The Starzzz) and BLISSFULL HALL (Cresco Threepeat) were both represented. WESTERN TERROR took a treble with Rocktagonal, Whata Terror and Our Tempo in the winner’s circle and WELL SAID had a double (Repartee & He Said She Said) but leading the way after a few quiet weeks was SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE with six winners – Keayang Kevin, The Rainbow Beach, Wheres The Gold, Surfsup Tigerpie, Mercurius and Tupelo Beach.
