A new winner for STAY HUNGRY this week with Kittykat Cutie (bred by Wyndowne Stud) taking victory by over 20m at Globe Derby Park.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS had his usual stellar week and also recorded two new two-year-old winners – Captain Groove (Louise Toulmin) at Yarra Valley and Captain Bart (Tumby Park) at Redcliffe. Also saluting in Queensland was mare Highly Respected (Alex Smith & Russ Woods), in by 7m to tick over $94,000 in earnings, while Deceptive Lee (Antrim 2010) notched his $70,000 at Oamaru. Bravo Stride (E +M Stride) made it six wins from ten starts at Penrith while at Bathurst Our Chiquitita (Durham Park) too her fourth lifetime win.
In North America, Captain Albano continued his stellar season with a win in the $185,000 Hap Hansen Matron Stakes at Dover Downs in an incredible 1:48.4 and El Rey took on Yonkers for a $50,000 MGM Grand Prix leg in 1:51.3. At the Harrisburg Sales, fifteen CAPTAIN yearlings brought $100,000 or more, including two $400,000+ earners – Sea Bistro Hanover and Aabriella Hanover.
Of our past roster, yet again BETTING LINE took honours – Aurora Joy, Butter Cup, A Duke To Be, Big Black Betty & Ultimate Diva – while there were doubles for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Mizzz Adele & Starzinhereyes) and WESTERN TERROR (War Western & Blues Terror), while Nai Harn Bay represented SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE.
