STAY HUNGRY filly Kittykat Cutie (bred by Wyndown Stud) went back-to-back to claim the Seymour Ladyship Stakes at Globe Derby Park while CAPTAINTREACHEROUS secured his usual brace of winners including a star two-year-old filly of his own in Cool And Classy (Solid Earth) who put three together to win the Sunshine Stars 2YO Fillies Classic in 1:55!
Speed to burn for CAPTAIN progeny – My Ultimate Carter (Michael Taylor) posted 1:54.9 at Albion Park to take his earnings past $95,000 while later on the card We Always Have Faith (Tardina Stud) stopped the clock at 1:54.6 to take the Dixon Consolation. Goodtime Sailor (Jan & Ian Slater) went 1:55.1 at Newcastle to go back-to-back and take the Strong Memorial by 11m, Jilliby Willow(L Thompson & T Board) claimed the Make Mine Cullen at Melton in 1:53.3 (she’s now at $163,000), Mick Danger (Michael McGeechan) went 1:55.1 at Menangle and Franco Santana (Spreydon Lodge) made it two in a row with his 1:55.5 win at Alexandra Park. At Burnie, mare Cee Tee Chelsea (W & M Oliver) put 8.2m on her rivals to get her earnings to near $40,000.
At the Meadowlands in America, Rodeo Drive Deo headed a CAPTAIN trifecta of Simply Perfect and Duration to claim the $165,000 Kindergarten Series 2YO Pacing Fillies Final in 1:50.6.
Once again BETTING LINE played a blinder, represented by no fewer than eight winners across the weekend – SA Oaks winner Lambro Mach, Online Model, Alcopony, Burning Tickets, Butter Cup, Young Bluey, Credulous and Lady In Line – while WELL SAID clocked up four winners in Siangdi, Amys Baby Angel, He Said She Said and All About Ivy. There were doubles for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rocks Roy & Minstrel), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Alpha Circus & Unethical) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Bay of Biscay & Swanbourne Spunk), while WESTERN TERROR was represented by War Western, and BLISSFULL HALL by Our Arabella.
