This weekend has seen CAPTAINTREACHEROUS represented five times across Australasia, headlined by Skyfall Benchmark (bred by Dacar Newcastle) who clocked a smoking 1:53.7 on Shepparton Cup night to claim his third victory in a row. Further south, Alby Two Chains (Blanche & Dean Poole) took out the 2025 North Eastern Pacing Cup in his tenth lifetime win and to the west, Our Lady Jen (David Anderson) put two together at Gloucester Park to take her earnings to over $119,000. Another picket fence being built for Captain Shuffles (Bill Crosby) who made it three in a row at Albion Park for a bank now of more than $244,000, and in New Zealand, CAPTAIN saw a new three-year-old winner in Carrera Bandido (P Bielby, D & A Shadbolt) at Nelson.
BETTING LINE again put the past roster list on the map with four winners – Spring Line, Diamond Shooz, Aurora Joy & Bet On The River – while SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE had a treble with Lamandier, Eldaytona & Xlendi. There were winners for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Starzinhereyes), WELL SAID (Uncle Tony) and ARTISTIC FELLA (Regal Cheval), and doubles for both ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Metro Assassin & Rocks Roy) and WESTERN TERROR (Kolisi & Forever Yin).
