Meanwhile at Melton this weekend, Jillibyjacksparrow notched up $80,000 in earnings with his 1:54.1 win and at Cambridge, Skipper went back-to-back by taking out the Cutts Invitational.
The Australasian yearling sale season wrapped up on Sunday at Oaklands in Melbourne, and our boys have done well as always. CAPTAINTREACHEROUS stock averaged an incredible $89,982 across 2024, with eight lots hitting triple figures including the Princess Tiffany filly who brought $270,000. STAY HUNGRY yearlings averaged 5.4x his 2021 service fee, with the top lot a colt by Dizygotic Lass who brought $75,000. TALL DARK STRANGER‘s debut yearlings were in hot demand at an average of $44,130 including the outstanding Treasure Me colt who demanded $130,000.
BETTING LINE continues to deliver with three weekend winners – Isthisjustfantasy, Pencil Me In & Empress Byline – followed by WESTERN TERROR (Sent It & Raging Sea) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (My Secret Beach & Remember Me Now) taking doubles. Also represented were ARTISTIC FELLA (Regal Cheval) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (American Rock).
