Big results for our boys STAY HUNGRY and CAPTAINTREACHEROUS this weekend in both hemispheres…
A GROUP 1 for Cool And Classy, the daughter of Captaintreacherous clocking 1:55.2 to win the GR1 Qbred Triad 2YO Fillies Final ahead of Arrive (2nd, CAPTAINTREACHEROUS) and Hunger Strike (4th, STAY HUNGRY). Captain was also represented at Melton where Keayang Tokyo posted his sixth win in a row, bringing up $60,000 in stakes with his 1:53 salute, while in WA Candillo collected a second win.
STAY HUNGRY two-year-old Snowiewillrev kept his unbeaten streak in tact with an 11m win in Hobart while in Canada, it was his son Redwood Hanover claiming the big money by collecting the $200,000 Prix d’Ete in 1:52.2. Not to be left out, STAY HUNGRY fillies also posted good results, claiming a trifecta in the $75,000 James M Lynch Memorial Consolation at Pocono Downs – Staying With Emily just ahead of Sarasota Hanover and Chiapanecas.
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS also had a good weekend in the northern hemisphere in the big money races – Captain Albano sizzled at Pocono in 1:48.3 to take the $300,000 Max Hempt Memorial while in the $200,000 Max Hempt Memorial Consolation, fellow three-year-old Captain Luke took the money in 1:50.1.
For our past boys there were doubles for BETTING LINE (Lady Digby & Lulu Lucifer) and WESTERN TERROR (Mammals Destiny & Keayang Tara), and a winner for ARTSPEAK (Pickle It).
