The 2024 $1m Metro Pace for two-year-old colts at Woodbine Mohawk Park saw him secure a trifecta – Fallout posted a track and series record of 1:49.1 ahead of Prince Hal Hanover and Captain Optimistic. This comes off the back of his three0year0old son Captain Albano taking the $525,000 Little Brown Jug in Delaware, and filly Sammy Jo Hanover successful in the $185,000 Kentuckiana Stallion Management at Harrah’s Hoosier Park with a 1:51.2 time.
At home, his big money winners continued on – Captain Ravishing (bred by Sloys Company) hit $539,000 with his 1:52.4 Goffin Memorial FFA win at Melton while at Gloucester Park, Castella Dellacqua (Durham Park) posted 1:55 in her second consecutive win to break through the $100,000 mark. Mick Danger (Michael McGeechan) clocked 1:54.3 in his back-to-back win at Menangle in the Listed Classic Carousel Final to take his bank to $123,000.
Path To Greatness (B Settree + S Caffyn) continued to live up to his name, taking a fourth win in a 1:54.5 heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge at Newcastle to remain unbeaten and at Redcliffe, Treacherous Gabby (P Valentine, R Boyd + K Hurst) put 10m on her rivals to claim a third win.
In New Zealand, Renegade (Breckon Farms) claimed a second victory at Addington and at Alexandra Park, two-year-old Captain Sampson (J & J Davies) claimed a NZ Sires Stakes heat at Alexandra Park in 1:54.8.
Thirteen wasn’t unlucky for STAY HUNGRY who secured his 13th two-year-old winner for the season when filly Perfect Playgirl (P Devereux + R Boldiston) saluted at Mildura.
Of our past roster, WELL SAID had a great few days with We Salute You, Ginnivan, Triedtotellya and Just As Well all in the winners’ stall, matched by BETTING LINE with Line Me Up Bro, Younggiftedandblack, Flyin Disco & Betting Origin. WESTERN TERROR found a treble in Raging Sea, Victory George & Sundancer Rainbow while FOUR STARZZZ SHARK had a double with Alpha Circus and Ashark.
