Good features and great times for progeny of CAPTAINTREACHEROUS this weekend, headed by Captain Tom’s win in the Temora Cup. Mare Madrigal took The Western Star at Marburg, taking her bank up to $77,000 while Montana DJ reached $160,000 with his 1:53.1 win at Gloucester Park. Captain of Speed topped $57,000 with a salute at Young and at Menangle, Amore Infida clocked a zipping 1:53.1.
In North America, STAY HUNGRY three-year-old fillies dominated The Stallion Series divisions at Pocono Downs, Chiapanecas in 1:51.3 and Lyons Legend in 1:50.3, while CAPTAINTREACHEROUS filly Rocket Deo took a Pennsylvania Sires Stakes division in 1:50.3. At Meadowlands, CAPTAIN stallion posted a new PB of 1:47.4 in the Graduate Series Leg, ahead of STAY HUNGRY’s Redwood Hanover in third.
Once again BETTING LINE dominated our past sire’s list with NINE winners, including a Melton metro treble – Tilly Jayne, Credulous and Operative Line joined Saint Veran, True Origins, All About Sadie, Wings On The Line, Flyin Disco & Rising Spirit in the winner’s circle, while winners were had by ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Henry Winkler), WELL SAID (Peter Fosberg), BLISSFULL HALL (Hurricane Ed), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Karinya Gill) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Kiss On The Beach).
