CAPTAINTREACHEROUS kids had a great weekend, headlined by Jorge Street (Mathew Day) claiming the GROUP 1 Tasmania Cup at Hobart, one of a double on the card with De Goey (Vicki Hadley) saluting to push his earnings past $120,000.
At Dubbo mare Captain Of Speed (Mal Moody) took the 2025 Hando to bring her take to $77,000, Keayang Jigsaw (Levarg Racing Group) claimed an Autumn Series heat at Northam, and at Bathurst it was colt Message Bank (Ross Angove) posting a time of 1:53.7 to take his Bathurst Gold Crown heat. In New Zealand, General Jen (McKerrow Bloodstock) was in the money, the filly taking a third win and her earnings boosted to over $40,000.
Of our past roster BETTING LINE continued to prove his worth with five winners – Cold Hard Cash, Back On Line, Neon, I Bet You & Bodyline – while SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE took a double with Orama and Kwick Sand. WESTERN TERROR (Sounds Like Fun), WELL SAID (Punto Caliente) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rocking With Charm) were all represented.
