Some nice winners this weekend for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS including six three-year-olds! His sole 2YO winner was filly Treacherous Love who took a Sires Stakes heat in 1:55 at Ashburton, taking her earnings past $53,000. Platinum Stride took a heat of the SA Pacing Cup at Globe Derby Park, but the 3YOs were on the march – Captains Knock took his Semi Final of the NSW Breeders Challenge at Menangle, Franco Sinatra made it six from his last nine with a win at Addington, De Goey landed at Launceston, Takeitout was a new 3YO winner at Invercargill, My Captain My Captain posted a 10.8m victory at Pinjara, and Reely Nauti claimed the 3YO Fillies Championship in Hobart.
In North America, his juveniles also secured good wins – Captain Albano and El Rey in their Breeders Crown Eliminations, Ken Hanover and Sir Isaac Newton in their divisions of The Albatross, and A Cool Moment in a Kentucky Sire Stakes race at Cumberland. STAY HUNGRY also had his share of winners with Zanetta taking an exciting win in her Breeders Crown elimination at Harrah’s, Sarasota Hanover a 1:50.3 win in her Kindergarten Stakes leg at Meadowlands, and at Cumberland, Hungry For Love in a $30,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes race.
Of our past sires, SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE topped the charts with eight winners – Wheres The Gold, Drive To The Beach, Somethingaboutlexy, Beach ball, Missed The Truth, Botany Bay Warrior, Firestorm Red and Andaman Bay – followed by BETTING LINE with four – Ceeubetty, Chenin Beach, Aurora Joy & Betting On Courage. WESTERN TERROR took a treble wtih Kolisi, Our Uncle Jim & Terryrama, BLISSFULL HALL was represented by My Courtell, and there were doubles for WELL SAID (Sweetly Spoken & Gottahaveahobbie), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Holi Starzzz & Lifeisbutadream) and ARTSPEAK (Thebestisyettocome & Aunty Frances).
