A big winner for STAY HUNGRY in the north – 2YO filly Zanatta took the $428,000 Three Diamonds Final at the Meadowlands in 1:50.1!
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS was, as always, well represented on both sides of the equator – his 2YO colt El Rey claimed the $430,000 Governor’s Cup at the Meadowlands in 1:49.2, while locally he was represented by five winners in a week of hot times plus a new 2YO winner at Addington in Micaitlen Denario.
2YO Mick Danger clocked 1:55.4 at Wagga, and 3YOs Majic Moment (1:53.6, Albion Park and her third win from the last four starts) and Chevrons Bypass (1:53.1, Menangle) were also on the winners’ list with 4YO Captain Maastrict, in by 6m at Cranbourne.
Of our past sires, WESTERN TERROR was represented by four winners (Yesnomaybeso, Western Belle, Tinge Of Fear & Western Style), while there were doubles for ARTISTIC FELLA (Aunty Bessy & Jasperine), FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Negative Nancy & Jilliby Kung Fu) and WELL SAID (We Salute You & Beat Boxer).
Winners each for HESTON BLUE CHIP (Sadie Jayne) and BETTING LINE (Sapphire Gambler), and another haul for SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE with Honolua Bay, Wheres The Gold, Elegant, Act Now, Kaviano Stride & Rakanotta.
