At Melton, Captain Bellasario (bred by John Munnerley) claimed his tenth lifetime victory to smash $169,000 in earnings, while at Marburg it was mare Madrigal (Brian Cowley) who broke $121,000 with her win. At Wagga it was Burton in the winner’s stall, taking his bank to $67,000 and adding one more in a purple patch of Captain winners for breeders Alex Smith & Russ Woods.
Of our past sires, it was SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE leading the way with Oceanique, Wheres Our Money and in the Chariots of Fire, Bay Of Biscay all saluting. BETTING LINE scored a double (Hatties Jewel & True Grit) while there were winners each for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Rock The Nation), ARTISTIC FELLA (Andrew Swagger) and WELL SAID (Dooo Dont Think).
