What a weekend for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS! Twelve of his lots sold through the Nutrien Equine Sydney Yearling Sales and aside from an average of $72,208 he secured the two sale toppers at $200,000 and $160,000. On the track, the focus was all – rightfully so! – on his 4YO son, Catch A Wave, who clocked 1:48.8 at Tabcorp Park Menangle to take the 2023 $1m Grand Circuit Miracle Mile, making him CAPTAIN‘s eleventh millionaire, and his first in Australasia!
Also in the money were Go Girlfriend heat winner Captains Queen in 1:53.3 at Wagga, August Moon yet again at Gloucester Park, and Newcastle double, Rumble Stride in 1:52.6 by 19m and My Ultimate Skeeta.
BETTING LINE also enjoyed good sale results with the Lady Euthenia colt fetching $62,500 at Sydney, while on the track he was represented by The Only Decision. Of our other past sires, there were winners for FOUR STARZZZ SHARK (Whatabro), HESTON BLUE CHIP (Double Act), WELL SAID (He Said She Said) and ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Glenledi Commander), and doubles for WESTERN TERROR (Mammals Riddle & Franco Western) and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE (Bondi Lockdown & Sicario).
