A local double for BETTING LINE with Saint Veran taking a heat of the 2YO C&G NSW Breeders Challenge at Bathurst and Betting Origin by 10m at Redcliffe.
HESTON BLUE CHIP scored a treble – Only One Dan by 21m and 3YO filly Oh One Job at Parkes, and 2YO Heston Blue Streak at Globe Derby Park.
Three in the frame for CAPTAINTREACHEROUS too – 2YO colt Cobalt Stride at Stawell, and 3YOs Captain Oh Captain (Parkes) and Sahara Storm (Geelong).
In North America, CAPTAIN stock continued to break records – mare Lyons Sentinel smashed the track record in the Dayton Derby, posting 1:48.2, while his 2YOs scored Bluegrass Series wins: filly Bourdoir Hanover ($289,000 in 1:49.4) and Nautical Hanover ($330,000 in 1:51).
WELL SAID secured a double at Dayton with 2YO colt Velocity Chaps breaking the track record in the $75,000 Ohio Sires Stakes and filly Wall Said taking the 3YO division. He was successful in Virginia too, with Caviart Sargent taking teh $85,000 breeders final at Shenandoah Downs.
Good Red Mile wins too for Early Action, 2YO HUNTSVILLE colt in a $330,000 Bluegrass Series in 1:49.3, and SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE 3YO, Water Sports Teen in 1:49.3 in his $253,000 divisions.
