2YO filly Double Delight (Captaintreacherous) claimed the GR1 2YO Ruby at Waikato’s Jewels meeting in TR1:58.4, one of four winners for the sire with 3YOs Captains Beachbabe (Gloucester Park), Captain Nemo (Alexandra Park), and Jilliby Dynamite (17m, Ararat).
South Coast Arden by Somebeachsomewhere clocked an impressive 1:51.6 at Waikato to win the GR1 4YO Emerald joining Jaspervellabeach (Gloucester Park), Crunch Time (1:51.6, Albion Park), Wavedancer (11m, Redcliffe), Boy From Bondi (Melton), Kiavino Stride & Somedane (Hobart, and 3YOs Hillview Bondi (Central Wheatbelts) & Surf Ace (16m, Mildura) taking the super sire’s winner tally to nine for the weekend.
BETTING LINE babies continue to fire, with Saint Veran claiming the Sapling Stakes at Goulburn and filly Extrinsic saluting at Hobart, while there were weekend winners for ROCKNROLL HANOVER (Sirletic, 1:52.3, Tabcorp Park Melton) and HESTON BLUE CHIP (Forged In Fire, 13m, Young).
