STAY HUNGRY continues to lead the First Season Sires list in Australia in all categories – the most winners (seven), the most wins (eight), average earnings of $8,059 each and total earnings of $88,645 all from only eleven starters for the season (from a crop of just 46!).
CAPTAINTREACHEROUS just continues to dominate all over, but ESPECIALLY his daughters – don’t be scared off by buying a filly at these sales, his girls have proven themselves time and again to be right across the boys they encounter – Encipher ($1.63m), Millwood Nike ($690,000), Tough Tilly ($618,000), Jewel Melody ($494,000) – and that’s just Australasia. In North America, his second highest earner is mare Lyons Sentinel ($2.32m) followed not too far behind by Blue Diamond Eyes ($1.34m) and Treacherous Dragon ($1.2m). Overall his progeny in Australia average a massive $72,000 – that’s not to be sneezed at!
